‘The Unit’, an American action drama television series, centers on a clandestine team of Special Forces Operatives. It shows how these people risk their lives on undercover missions around the globe, and how it affects their lives and lives of their wives and girlfriends etc, while giving an equal importance to their families who protect their secrets. Leading the team is Jonas Blane. He’s the man who directs the unit in all missions and is responsible to take the new recruit Bob Brown under his wing.
Other highly skilled, trustworthy, brave and dependable soldiers of the unit are: Colonel Tom Ryan, Mack Gerhardt, Charles Grey, Hector Williams and Bob Brown. ‘The Unit’ also shows the dilemmas of the wives who cope with the fear and uncertainty when their husbands are not at home. Molly Blane, Jonas’ wife, is the base matriarch and she counsels the other women including Tiffy, Mack Gerhardt’s wife and Kim Brown, Bob’s pregnant wife.
‘The Unit’ was premiered on CBS on March 7, 2006 and series is currently running with the fourth season.
