Max Martini was born in New York and he spent his early years in three different countries United States, Canada and Italy. So, he holds the citizenship of these three countries. His step father Stuart Margolin was a director and actor and his mother, Pat, was a private investigator and parole officer. During his high school years, he attended and played football at Santa Monica High School and won the state championship as a kicker.
In order to learn acting, he moved to New York and studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse and next joined Michael Howard Studios. He next enrolled in School of Visual Arts and received a BFA in painting and sculpture. After his college, Max Martini started working in TV shows and movies also. His movie appearances include ‘Contact’ as Willie; ‘Saving Private Ryan’ as Cpl. Fred Henderson; ‘Redbelt’, ‘Saving Private Ryan’, etc. In John Dahl’s ‘The Great Raid’, he portrayed 1st Sgt. Sid Wojo. Max Martini was also seen in smaller independent films ‘Jane Doe’, ‘Cement’, ‘Backroads’ etc. He also tried his hand in co-directing and writing in ‘Desert Son’. Christopher, his younger brother co-directed the movie and his sister worked as a costume designer.
His TV appearances include: ‘Taken’ as a leading character; ‘24’ as Agent Steve Goodrich in the second season of the series; ‘Harsh Realm’ and also gave a recurring appearance on ‘Da Vinci’s Inquest’, a Canadian series; ‘Numb3rs’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Without a Trace’, ‘The Division’, ‘The Pretender’ etc.
Max Martini co-founded the Theatre North Collaborative in New York. It’s a company of American and Canadian actors dedicated to produce new works from both sides of the border.
Currently, he’s living in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons. His favorite pastimes are boxing, rodeo and motorcycling etc. He also participated in ‘The Love Ride’ in Southern California.
