The Unit Season 2
Second season of ‘The Unit’ was premiered on September 19, 2006 and the season opener was entitled ‘Change of Station’. As the season began, we saw that Mack and Tiffy were preparing to leave the Unit and at the same time one of her former students came for her help and they helped her. On the other hand, the team was sent to Pakistan to help an undercover operative. Second episode was entitled ‘Extreme Rendition’. In this episode, we met a former member of the Unit locked up in Bulgarian prison and the team went to help him as his rescue might help to find one of world’s leading arms dealers. Molly took a one time recruiting job to hire the man away from the military in order to get extra money to take care of her aging mother. In ‘The Kill Zone’, team’s mission to eliminate a militia rebel leader was put to halt when they’re supposed to rescue two operators trapped by a sniper. On the base, wives of Unit members helped the fiancé of a deceased Unit member. Then came the episode entitled ‘Manhunt’. In this episode, team’s mission was to apprehend a terrorist planning to attack a nuclear waste train. Kim got nervous when she saw a strange man talking to Serena. Next episode was entitled ‘Force Majeure’. In this episode, the team dealt with the dilemma whether to save an African dictator or innocent people hit by a hurricane. On the other hand, Mack and Tiffy had reconciliation. In ‘Old Home Week’, team’s mission was to stop a shipment of smuggled diamonds. On base, wives organized ‘Old Home Week’ in order to raise some funds. A soldier was killed in 1944 and in this episode, Kim discovered an undelivered letter written by him to someone he loved. It forced her to find his widow and to deliver the letter to her. Next episode of second season was entitled ‘Off the Meter’. Here, we saw Jonas Blane and Bob saving a girl from a cult leader. On the other hand, Tiffy covered for Charlotte. In the episode ‘Natural Selection’, Bob’s plane crashed in Siberia and he and his translator were left stranded. In such a troubling time, Bob recalled the whole process he went through to become a Unit member. Next came the episode entitled ‘Report by Exception’. In this episode, Jonas and the team worked against an oil minister in South America and while carrying out the mission, Jonas found himself in dilemma when his acting wife started taking her role very seriously. On the other hand, Colonel Tom Ryan went to Washington, DC. On base, Molly and Kim were seen finding a babysitter for the kids. In ‘Bait’- Jonas found himself in trouble after he headed off to the Democratic Republic of Georgia. Meanwhile, Mack and Tiffy were seen dealing with their legal troubles. Then came the episode ‘Silver Star’. In this episode, Jonas’ father received a Silver Star for his accomplishments in Korea. Jonas came to know about his cousin’s relationship issues with his wife. A jet’s pilot died in mid flight and Mack and Bob helped it to land at a safe place. Next episode of second season was entitled ‘The Broom Cupboard’. Here, the team was assigned to protect an US Senator and Jonas had a top secret mission. On the base, Molly, Tiffy and Kim threw a surprise engagement party for Crystal and Jeremy. In ‘Sub Conscious’, Kim had a dream similar to team’s current mission to take control of a South Korean Submarine. Ryan thought it was Bob who disclosed the mission to Kim and decided to fire him. Jonas was seen dealing with the captain of a South Korean submarine. In the episode entitled ‘Johnny B. Good’, the team was assigned to a mission in Iraq. Their mission to deploy sensors to detect nuclear weapons became very knotty when they found some civilians involved in that. Molly went to see Jeremy in the burn unit and Crystal’s behavior made them confused. Tiffy faced a dilemma while doing her community services and Mack had his own trouble. Next was ‘The Water is Wide’. Here, we saw the team as they went to New York to defend a foreign dignitary at the US building. In order to attend a war memorial service, Molly and Tiffy went to Vietnam. In ‘Games of Chance’, the team participated in CT games competition and they were put against other Special Forces Unit. One of the teams crossed all limits to win. On the other hand, Kim traveled to Utah and met her ex-lover. Next episodes in row were ‘Dark of the Moon’, ‘Two Coins’ etc. In next episode ‘The Outsiders’, Brown and Williams went to Papua New Guinea in order to retrieve an aircraft’s black box. On the other hand, Kim saw Crystal talking to a reporter to the unit. ‘In Loco Parentis’, in order to save the students of an elite international private school, the team worked with a SWAT unit. On base, son of an officer attracted the stares of Lissy. Next we saw the episode ‘Bedfellows’, Bob was assigned to work with the CIA and it put his loyalty towards the Unit on risk. Mack came to know about Tiffy’s affair. Then came the episode entitled ‘Freefall’. We saw Mack, Grey and Williams rescuing a Thai Prince on American soil. Season finale was entitled ‘Paradise Lost’ and it was aired on May 8, 2007. In this season ender, The Unit faced its utmost threat when a government agency investigated them for their actions. CIA tried to recruit Bob and Mack and Tiffy had a war of words over Wilson.
Season’s Top Ranked Episode ‘Dark of the Moon’
The team was sent to Pakistan in order to retrieve three suspected terrorists. They discovered a US base with a small force of troops who didn’t respect their commanding officer. They were forced to take control of the base and to prepare them for an attack from the militia.
