‘The Unit-Fired Up’s Robert Patrick fired his business manager

Famous for playing the role of Brigadier General Thomas Ryan, in action drama ‘The Unit-Fired Up’, Robert Patrick has fired his business manager when he came to know that his manager owes thousands in unpaid taxes. I like the spirit of this conscientious American citizen who has taken a harsh but fruitful step towards betterment of society. He did this as soon as he came to know about the culpability of his worker. According to him, though it was a hard decision to fire seventeen years worker but more important is not to have relation with a person who commits crime against the state. Earlier I was impressed by his acting skills but now by his thoughts also.

Telling reasons for his instant hard reaction for firing his manager, he said “My reaction is frustration and I’m very angry. I’ve had an impeccable relationship with taxes. I’ve never had a problem. I’m a very proud American. I fly to Iraq and Afghanistan to see the troops. I’m very pro-military. I am in shock and angry about it.”

Yesterday I was watching the movie ‘We are Marshall’. He has done his best in it. Even though he had only a guest role in it’s starting but he was able to set the base of the movie. His glowing face and thundering voice with perfect delivery of dialogues was enough to fill the football players with energy and focused them only on one mission ‘winning’. His hitting dialogue is still fresh in my memory, “Remember, no one will remember how we played. Playing good is not enough. Winning is everything. Winning is what everyone remembers.” I am his great fan and particularly like his shinning blue eyes. There is so much power in his eyes I hardly found any like them.

I love ‘The Unit’ and his role in it. Above all, I love the music of the show with words ‘Here we go –Fired Up” sung in chorus. It is really about the army, a hero, a fighter, a protector who is true towards his duty and motives.

Regina Taylor From The Unit Turns To Broadway!

Hey friends! This month has been quite important for one of the prominent cast members of The Unit tv show. Regina Taylor, who is an Artistic Associate of Goodman Theatre, has come up with her latest presentation named Magnolia. The story of Magnolia is set in 1963, in an era when Georgia is going through one of the worst economic crisis. The story revolves around Lilly and Thomas who try to save their lands and magnolia trees etc. Although Regina has been busy with The Unit for quite some time now, it is however, not the first time that she is working for theatre. In fact, the actress was seen in the staged reading of Fences in 2007 and her other earlier credits for the Goodman theatre include The Dreams of Sarah Breedlove, Crowns, Oo-Bla-Dee and many more. Regina, whom we know as Molly Blane on The Unit, has always been known as one of the better actresses of the modern times and with her various talents she is definitely a step ahead of her contemporaries. Although she does not have a very lengthy role in The Unit, Regina has been appreciated for making her presence felt through her strong onscreen presence.

The Unit has been noted for being an out and out action drama which focuses mainly on the lives of some special force operatives fighting against crime. It has also been said that there is no scope for strong performance by female members of the cast. However, I feel that the length of a role is irrelevant as long as it is significant in the overall storyline. And keeping this in consideration, I feel that all the female cast members can make their presence felt, even though they do not have quite lengthy roles. And as stated earlier in this site, the writers surely must put in some efforts to present the ladies as strong women instead of highlighting their insecurities and weaknesses. But anyways, I love the concept and the storyline of The Unit, which is currently airing its Season 4 and I wish that it continues to show us the odds that are faced by the soldiers who try to ensure that we are safe and risk everything for the same.

The especially special drama ‘The Unit’!

The Unit’ is currently running with season 4 and next episodes of series are scheduled to be aired in January 2009. Well, being a hardcore fan of the show, I am very crazy for the upcoming episodes of the show. After the latest episode ‘Switchblade’… expectations from next episodes are really on the peak.

Okay, have you ever thought what makes you attached to a particular drama? As I think, it’s the plot and characters of the show which make you fall in love with the show. Absolutely, this is the case with ‘The Unit’. Throughout its four season long run, I liked all episodes of the show and everyone was by all odds better than the previous one! What more can be expected? I think it’s the extreme of success that creators and viewers can think for a drama like ‘The Unit’.

In every episode, team goes on a mission and investigates the case to rescue the innocents and to punish the guilty. Moreover, their wives deal with the everyday family matters on the base. Leading the team is Sergeant Major Jonas Blane and leading the group of wives is his wife Molly Blane. ‘The Unit’ also gives a closer view of what every middle class family may come to deal with.

Other most important characters on series are: Bob Brown, the newest member of the team; Colonel Tom Ryan, Mack Gerhardt, Kim Brown, and Tiffy etc. Guest characters are introduced at times to make the plot interesting. Wholly, ‘The Unit’ has secured a strong fan base and hopefully, its popularity and success will go on increasing as series goes with new episodes. Nowadays, fans are waiting eagerly for the remaining episodes of the fourth season, yeah, me too! I’ll catch you later with my reviews on the upcoming episodes of ‘The Unit’. Stay connected!
